After doing a one-time calibration, all versions of Craft Measure enable those doing yarn crafts
to carry out common measurement tasks. The accuracy of the measurements depends largely on the
accuracy of the initial calibration, your eyesight, and whether you've done some practice runs
with items of known size or gauge.
- Visually inspect a knitting needle to determine its size.
- Visually inspect a crochet hook to determine its size.
- Calculate your gauge
by comparing your swatch to templates displayed by the application.
- Visually inspect a weaving reed to determine its number of dents per inch or centimeter.
- Visually inspect a knitting peg loom to determine
the spacing of its pegs.
- Display a small ruler that you can use to measure
distances smaller than the size of your phone screen.
